Citric acid is a simple, effective product for reducing irrigation water pH and helping manage high-pH soils and growing media.
It is particularly useful where alkaline or high-bicarbonate irrigation water is gradually pushing soil pH upward and reducing nutrient availability.
Reduces irrigation water pH
Helps neutralise bicarbonates
Supports availability of iron, manganese and other trace elements
Useful in market gardens, greenhouses, orchards and fertigation systems
Can be used as part of an ongoing high-pH management program
Citric acid is best applied in small, repeated doses through irrigation or fertigation, rather than as a large one-off soil treatment.
Application rate should be adjusted according to water pH, alkalinity, soil pH and crop requirements.
Citric acid provides short-term pH correction and is not normally a permanent soil-acidifying treatment. For persistent high-pH soils, it may be used alongside longer-term strategies such as elemental sulphur.
Always dilute before application and monitor pH during use.
Dry, stable powder
Can be supplied in bulk or smaller alternatives
Refer to MSDS for health considerations
Refer to NON-GMO statement
Freight is included in listed pricing
Commercial purchases should inquire
