Photographed is the Rowan Reid tree planting method. Where one PVC pipe is driven into the ground next to the tree and the sleep is attached with three zip ties. The method allows the tree to be pushed over by stock, but the PVC just jumps back up unaffected. The PVC also allows the tree to move freely in the wind thus developing a strong trunk. This system uses 2 sleaves at a total high of 1.2m. This allows the tree to grow in the sleave for a prolonged time, and emerges out the top, out of reach of most stock animals or small wildlife. The mini hothouse effect boost growth speed.
